03.10.11 .Martin is shooting a film for Stolichnaya through the Multiply Agency for their Stoli Originals project. Stoli Originals is looking to document the life of four unique people from around the UK. Participants are being sought from Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and Wales. 26.05.11 .Martin Smith has been selected by the Edinburgh International Film Festival to participate in their Talent Lab. EIFF Talent Lab selects UK and international directors and screenwriters to discuss the industry, their projects and ideas with a selection of invited industry professionals selected from the world's key film industry players. Martin has prepared a new feature film outline, SHOWS, for the Lab. The Lab will take place during the 2011 Edinburgh International Film Festival, starting on the 15th June.
23.05.11 .Martin Smith's JIMMY documentary will also screen on Saturday 11th June in the Documentaries on Devonshire Green event at Sheffield Docfest, screening alongside Albert and David Maysles classic GREY GARDENS with an intro in person by documentary pioneer Albert Maysles.
