In 2009 Martin Smith was selected by the Toronto International Film Festival to participate in their Talent Lab where 25 of the most promising emerging filmmakers from around the world are invited to build networks with some of the most esteemed filmmakers and artists in the world.

JUST ENOUGH DOUBT, the resulting experimental short film that was commissioned by TIFF for the Lab was nominated Best Short Film at the 2010 Jim Poole Scottish Short Film Awards.

The film stars Ryan Duthie and Martin Docherty. It was shot by cinematographer George Geddes and produced by Karen Smyth of La Belle Allee Productions.
